Biography :
Filipino world boxing champion Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao was born on December 17, 1978, to parents Dionesia Dapidran-Pacquiao and Rosalio Pacquiao. He was raised in Kibawe, which is located in the Bukidnon province of Mindanao, Philippines.His parents got separated when he was about 12 years of age.
The accomplished boxer is married to Maria Geraldine Jamora and they have four children. Though he resides in his hometown of General Santos City, he is officially residing in Kiamba as a Congressman.

Manny has the rare combination of speed and power. Out of Pacquiao's 47 career wins, 35 of them were knock outs. Manny also has great defensive skills and has the ability to take punches. Undoubtedly, Manny is the best pound for pound boxer since Roy Jones Jr. With Floyd Mayweather retiring, Manny is the premier face of boxing today.

He has won 8 world titles and also the first man to to bag the lineal championship in four different classes. The Boxing Writers Association in the US rated him as the best fighter of the 2000s.
